Jessica Newman, LMSW
Jessica Newman is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Tennessee. Jessica obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Focus in Counseling at Maryville College and her Master of Science in Social Work at the University of Tennessee. Jessica believes mental health is not a destination but instead an ever-evolving journey. This journey involves the integration of our mind, body, and spirit, with the goal of total wellness and assisting clients with development of vitality for life. Jessica aims to provide a safe space for clients to process through life’s challenges, identify and understand unhelpful thinking patterns, and explore values that motivate and drive client’s behavior and actions towards their goals.
Jessica has served in a variety of community and mental health settings including in-patient treatment and hospice. Jessica helps individuals overcome a wide array of concerns and symptoms including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and life transitions. Jessica’s main theoretical approaches are rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She has a firm belief in meeting the client where they are in their journey and makes use of techniques to personalize the treatment experience for her clients.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys spending time with family, painting, reading, and being outdoors.
