Jessica believes in the philosophy that every person has the ability to positively change their lives through their own untapped potential. She utilizes several techniques and skills to help her clients discover their own strengths and use them to achieve their goals. Jessica’s passions include helping her clients set and accomplish their goals during therapy, by meeting her clients where they are. Jessica earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology at Emory and Henry College. She continued her education at Radford University where she earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling and Human Development. Jessica is most experienced with Behavioral Disorders, Mood Disorders, Trauma Work, and Substance Use Disorders. Jessica offers a wide range of approaches to counseling which include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and if desired, Spiritual Counseling. Jessica provides a welcoming environment for everyone she works with, so in their time of need, they can feel safe and comfortable. This environment facilitates the ability for her client’s to start or continue their journey down their path towards healing. During her time as a therapist, Jessica has worked in a variety of environments, including inpatient, outpatient, and in-home settings. This experience has enabled her to develop her clinical skills with clients of differing ages and backgrounds. Jessica has a particular affinity for women who have a history of trauma, as well as all individuals who have experienced substance abuse issues in their lifetime. Jessica is ready to assist you with your recovery, help you stay focused on your goals, enable you to identify your strengths, and walk with you down the path towards healing.
