Connie Ward, LPC/MHSP

Connie Ward is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Mental Health Service Provider in the state of Tennessee. Connie welcomes challenges in her work with clients, and values every unique perspective offered through the process of counseling. After completing her Master’s degree at Lincoln Memorial University, she worked within community service agencies, local court systems, in residential settings, and in crisis management. Connie has been in the field of counseling and social services for over 20 years. She has worked with a wide range of populations including children, adolescents, and families. Connie helps her clients address their symptoms of anxiety and depression, substance abuse issues, grief and loss counseling, life skills development, stress-reduction, and anger management. Connie expresses empathy with those she serves. She herself has experienced a variety of challenging life experiences, so she knows what this can be like. In her free time, Connie enjoys painting, woodworking, and watching old movies. Connie possesses the ability to offer a variety of clinical interventions that are evidence-based and client-focused. She commonly works with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy frameworks, and has a growing affinity for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Her approach to counseling is geared towards meeting you where you are, in order to address your unique circumstances. Connie looks forward to working with you to help you achieve your counseling goals.
