Christina Smith is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Tennessee.

Christina has worked in the community mental health field and in counseling foster care children and families in East Tennessee, after an intensive career as a licensed financial planner and an educator. She has experience working with youth and adults, both individual, and small group settings.

Christina uses a blended approach to walk with you on a journey of reflection and self-discovery, by creating a safe space for introspection. Christina takes a non-judgmental stance toward exploring self-knowledge and understanding. She endeavors to align with you, to help you work toward defined treatment goals, supporting you with any discomfort you may experience during the change process, as you progress towards the life you envision. Her approach with clients leans on Mindfulness, Attachment Repair, and Trauma Processing Modalities, among others, to assist clients in navigating psychological obstacles, to expand their mindset, and identify behavioral triggers.

Christina was born in rural South Africa but has lived in the US for the past 30+ years.  In her practice, she seeks to integrate her love and connection to nature, as well as what shapes us through past life experiences, and other cross-cultural influences. In her free time, Christina enjoys working in her garden, traveling, taking contemplative walks, and reading for relaxation which is a pleasure for her.
